2025 SUNN Summer Programs

SUNN Swimming will offer two summer programs this year.  A Competitive Swim Team and a Non-Competitive Swim Camp. You will register through SUNN Swimming for the Competitive Swim Team and the City of Sunnyvale for the Non-Competitive Swim Camp

Non-Competitive Swim Camp

SUNN Aquatics Camp through the City of Sunnyvale
This camp is for non-competitive swimmers who wish to improve their stroke technique to a competitive  level.  Campers focus on refining body position, breathing technique and develop a strong kick and smooth strokes.  Some endurance work is incorporated to help maintain technique.  Campers should be able to swim at least 25 yards and be confident in using one swim stroke.

Details:  Monday - Friday - 9am to 12pm
Dates:  June 16, 2025 through August 8, 2025
Ages:  5 - 12 year olds

Competitive Summer Swim Team

This will be a summer swim team experience for elementary and middle schoolers where they will learn about the four competitive swim strokes and how to use them in competition at swim meets with other local swim clubs.  This is a great opportunity to see what being on a swim team is like.

  • During the tryout all swimmers will need to demonstrate their skills to the coach before they will be accepted on the Summer Swim Team, but all  swimmers must be able to swim across the pool in any depth of water unassisted without stopping, side breathe/blow bubbles and know at least 2 strokes.   Summer is right around the corner, so RSVP today! 

Practice Schedule: For Elementary swimmers, you can select one practice group.  There is only one Middle School practice.  All practices are at Sunnyvale Middle School Monday through Friday.  Attend as many practices as you can.

  • NS/Summer Swim Team Practice 1 (Elementary School)  
    • 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm  
  • NS/Summer Swim Team 2 Practice  (Elementary School) 
    • 4:45 pm to 5:30 pm
  • NS/Summer Swim Team Practice 4 (Elementary School)         
    • 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm
  • NS/Summer Swim Team Practice 5 (Elementary School)
    • 7:15 pm to 8:00 pm
  • NG//Summer Swim Team Practice 6 (Middle School)
    • 7:15 pm to 8:00 pm

Swim Meets: Coming Soon - swim meets will be during the week and a few Saturdays.

Fun Activities/Team Building - We plan to have some fun activities for swimmers

  • Welcome Potluck, Tie Dye T-Shirts, Movie Night, Popsicle Party and Poster Making with Ice Cream for Championship meet
