Step One: Review the 2012-13 Parent and Swimmer Handbook for information on the club's philosophy, practices, the club's dues structure, and the volunteer requirements.
Step Three: Attend a swim evaluation at Sunnyvale Middle School. Group placements for NEW SWIMMERS (competitive and recreational) are held weekly at Sunnyvale Middle School. Please contact sunn.secretary@live.com to schedule an evaluation appointment.
Hand the filled-out evaluation form and payment to the coach at the beginning of the evaluation. After the assessment, the coach will place your child in a practice group and give you back the bottom part of the tryout form. The coach will also answer any questions you may have about the overall program.
 Step Four: New swimmers have a full trial week (5 consecutive days) beginning the Tueasday following the evaluation. Bring the tryout slip to your child's coach on the first day of practice. Please notify SUNN secretary (info@sunn.org or 408-306-7930) on or before the last day of the trial week if your swimmer does not wish to continue, and we will return your registration payment. After the trial week, you will receive an invoice for the first month dues.
